  • The tourist and cultural site of the Caves de la Chartreuse invites you to discover the world of liqueur, the exceptional heritage and the know-how of the Carthusian monks through a new series of guided tours.

  • As you enter this new museum space, you will stroll through the old production site in 7 spaces that symbolize the major periods in the history of Chartreuse liqueurs. From the origins of the Elixir to the birth of the liqueur or the foundation of the brand, you will be able to see nearly 1200 original pieces, never before exhibited.

    The tour continues through a space entirely dedicated to the plants that represent the basis of the manufacture of the monks' liqueurs. Here, all your senses...

    Before entering the historic cellar of Voiron, you will cross the atrium which gives pride of place to the Chartreuse massif, where the monks have been living for nearly a thousand years.

    Your visit will end with a tasting of the traditional liqueurs Verte and Jaune.
