  • A beautiful and challenging hike, typical of Chartreuse, between forests and limestone. In spring, you can meet a lot of orchids along the way.

  • (1) Take the bridge in front of the church of Saint-Pierre-d’Entremont Savoy and turn left on a path that goes up and cuts the bends of a housing estate. Follow the yellow signs. The path meets a forest track, which you will leave soon to take the path (2) on the right, which goes up to the ruins of «Sous La Roche». At the ruins, cut a track to go up on a very steep path to reach the top of the Roche Veyrand. The way up is difficult, and takes 3 to 4 hours (cables, aerial passages… you must...

    (3) To reach the top and enjoy the view, you will have to go back and forth.
    Way down:
    (4) Come back on yourself and follow the path on the left to La Tournette. It goes down in the forest, then meets a forest track. Leave this track quickly to take a small path on your right. At the exit of the forest, walk along the ruins and cross a field to join the barns of La Tournette.
    (5) At the ruins, turn right at the basin and after 5 minutes, take right to the hamlet of la Fracette.
    (6) Follow the small road which brings you back to Saint-Pierre-d’Entremont.
