(1) From the esplanade du Plan de ville, take the street at the corner of Maison du Parc and follow it to the town hall. Turn right towards Place de la mairie and cross the road in front of the fountain. (2) Look out for a wooden sign indicating La Diat par les 4 chemins. Follow this sign and go between the buildings. The «sentier des 4 chemins» descends and crosses the road for the first time. Continue across the road before rejoining the road a second time at the «Les 4 chemins» bus stop. (3) At the «Les 4 chemins» sign, turn right onto the road and quickly reach the «Sous les 4 chemins» sign. From here, leave the road and descend to the left towards La Diat. When you reach the road, do not cross the bridge on your left, but continue straight ahead on the road towards Saint-Laurent du Pont. Follow the road and cross the Pont Routier de la Dame, then turn left at the sign for «la Diat - piscine» (4). Follow the path to the Herbetan footbridge. Cross the multi-activity area. Continue along the path until you find the Herbetan footbridge on your left. (5) Take the footbridge and turn left towards La Diat, following the road to the Pont de la Diat. (6) Do not cross the Pont de la Diat, but take the path immediately to the right towards the Pont de la laiterie. The path continues pleasantly along the Guiers Mort river for 800m to the Pont de laiterie. (7) Then cross the Guiers Mort at the Pont de laiterie. Please respect the herds and do not open the gates. Follow the signs for Place de la Mairie and climb the sometimes steep path that leads back to Place de la Mairie (2) and its pretty fountain. Rejoin the start of the itinerary.
