Starting from Raidlight, head towards Plan de Ville and then find the Bois des Lièvres trail on the right for an initial narrow descent. You will then cross a footbridge over the Couzon before continuing your adventure through an alpine pasture to reach the road.
At the Patassière signpost, continue left, descending to the end of the road before turning right, crossing a hedge, and circling a Chartreuse barn on the left. The end of the climb allows you to admire Chamechaude and the hamlet of La Diat at your feet, which is the starting point of the famous Chartreuse Terminorum.
At the next intersection, turn left to enjoy a wide, gently descending trail. You will cross a stream that, in spring, can surprise you with its flow and temperature, allowing you to continue downhill. A little further along, turn right to take a singletrack path through the heart of the forest that would be a shame to miss.
Upon returning to the road, continue to the right to cross the bridge over Guiers Mort, where you can admire the sculpture of Saint Bruno created by Guy Laffont. Continue straight along the path to reach the road, then take the trail that ascends to the right immediately afterward. You are now on the Chemin du Grand Logis. At the top of the climb, you will be able to see the Chapelle Saint Hugues on your right and the Grand Logis on your left, which was the residence for the armed men and women who were not allowed to enter the grounds of the Monastery of La Grande Chartreuse at that time.
Continue your adventure along the path to the right before joining the path that slightly veers right, crossing the road and leading into the forest. At the Sur Chargeat signpost, turn right onto the path towards Pierre Mesure. Enjoy the coolness of the forest as you navigate a hilly trail.
At the Fontaine de Frettevielle, after admiring the existing basin, continue on the left trail descending towards Mourinas. Back on the road, continue straight ahead before taking the gravel path to the left at the La Martinière directional signpost.
Upon exiting the clearing, you can enjoy views of the village and Chamechaude behind you before returning slightly to the left into the forest. A rather technical descent, especially when wet, leads you back to La Diat and its trial area, which you will circle to reach the Herretang footbridge.
Continue straight between the tennis courts and mini-golf to find the road. Cross the Pont Routier de la Dame and continue straight. Then turn right and immediately left onto the trail after the bridge towards Pont de la Laiterie. The last 100 meters of elevation of the vertical kilometer will take you to Place le Mairie, where you will turn right to return to Raidlight.
