Description
The YCGC offers a “Voile Handivoile” activity for people with disabilities, regardless of their condition (motor, mental, sensory), to enable everyone to practice sailing solo and/or in a duo with an “able-bodied” person.
The YCGC Handivoile sailing group meets once a month on Saturday afternoons, in a friendly atmosphere (picnic, snack), according to a set schedule.
In addition to regular sessions, meetings with other clubs and participation in various competitions are organized (French Handivalide Championship in Cazaux, regional training course in Mèze, North Cup in Berck).
The fleet is made up of unsinkable sailboats, adapted for double-handed, solo and group sailing, to ensure maximum safety.
The YCGC Handivoile activity is supervised by adult volunteers, qualified instructors and specially trained guides.
The YCGC is a Handisport Label Club.
