The Saint-Joseph-de-rivière lake is made up of two artificial ponds created especially for fishing enthusiasts.
A few special features depending on your fishing pass:
- With the annual pass you benefit from: access to both ponds and the possibility of having a maximum of two rods, one of which is a strike rod fitted with a single hook.
- With the daily pass you benefit from: access to the first pond and the possibility of fishing with a single rod fitted with a single hook and cork. Exceptionally, the first pond may be rented to associations or works councils. In such cases, closure orders will be posted on site two weeks before the event.
Fish quotas per angler :
- 7 trout
- no limit for fry and roach
- 1 maximum catch for other fish (carp, pike minimum 65cm, etc.).
For no-kill anglers, barbless hooks compulsory.
Anglers must remain in the immediate vicinity of their rods.
Only natural bait (worms, moths, etc.) and maggots are permitted.
The following forms of fishing are prohibited: flies, spoons, lures, bombs, baiting, attempts to herd fish and other drifts, except in exceptional circumstances.
Live-fish fishing is permitted first in the first pond, then in the second pond from the second Saturday in May.
All anglers must have their fishing card and present it at every check carried out by the fishery wardens, failing which it may be withdrawn or a fine of 200 euros + the price of the card may be imposed. Fishing wardens are responsible for enforcing these rules, as well as the safety and life-skills rules around the ponds. You are in a natural environment, so please respect the peace and quiet and leave nothing on the banks.
