- Guidebook with maps/step-by-stepFrom St-Laurent-du-Pont, take the road towards the gorges of Guiers Mort in the direction of St-Pierre-de-Chartreuse. Shortly after leaving the village, turn right onto the small road marked by a wooden sign for the "Monastère de Béthléem." Please be cautious, as the road is narrow and may not allow two vehicles to pass. Park in the hiker's parking area after the Chartreuse de Currière.
(1) At the Chartreuse de Currière parking area, take the forest road towards "Cul de Lampe/Grande Sure" (marked with signage and yellow waymarks). Continue to the Belvédère de None.
(2) Continue in the direction of "Cul de Lampe/Grande Sure." After 800 meters, the path splits into two branches.
(3) Take the right branch (marked with yellow). The marked trail leads you to "La Terrasse." Maintain the direction towards "Cul de Lampe/Grande Sure." From this point, the forest track transforms into a mountain path. The atmosphere changes at an altitude of 1,490 meters, at "La Prairie," which is the gateway to the Vallon de la Sure.
(4) At the Col de la Sure, take the right path leading to the summit of the Grande Sure.
(5) Return by the same path.
