The Guiers River is a picturesque site steeped in history. The river marks the ancient border between France and Savoie, the home of the famous smuggler Louis Mandrin.
The itinerary begins by passing through Pont de Beauvoisin, surrounded by its old stones and hanging gardens, before escaping into the countryside to the confluence with the Rhône. The route, between molasse rocks, is enlivened by the crossing of rapids.
