Description
An original route starting from the Col du Granier to reach the highest hamlets under the pass and the small family resort of the same name: nice viewpoints on the valley and on the Mont Granier.
- Guidebook with maps/step-by-step1/ From the parking lot of the Col du Granier, follow the meadow opposite the Mont Granier direction Entremont le Vieux. The path crosses a grove, then the large meadows under the Pass, continue in the same direction to find the path in the forest. When it gets lower on another road, continue right towards Praz Prin. The path runs along a clearing and then descends through the pine wood. 2/ Continue straight ahead, by the path between two hedges. He joined shortly after the Granges de la Ménardière. Go down the path on the left, cross the stream and go up through the meadow, under the hamlet of La Coche. Find the path on the right, cross a stream again and go down into the lower meadow. Cross the woods (200m), then go up the meadow following the milestones to the road. Cross it (caution). 3/ Walk along the edge of the wood above the Oratory of the Babeau, then cross the forest to turn left on the Chemin de Planchamps. 4/ Go back to the right through the meadows. Cross the road to Tencovaz and continue straight ahead. Cross a small forest and then large meadows. At the entrance of the forest turn left and go down 20 m to the stream that comes from the pass. Cross it a first time, then a second time 100 m further before a very steep climb. Follow the forest trail towards the Granier Pass.
